To me, London Fashion Week seemed to have got off to a slow start this season and I was a little disappointed or confused with some collections. Before I knew it, the situation had changed completely and I was having a major dilemma in choosing my favourites from all the fantastic collections. I've learned my lesson: never underestimate London's ability to pick up the pace in a short 5 days.
Fashion month is here again! It's crazy how quickly time passes by, isn't it? I did enjoy looking through the collections at New York Fashion Week this season. There were some pleasant surprises, including excellent shows from brands I haven't paid too much attention to in the past. It was difficult to narrow down my favourite few collections but I did manage it so here they are.
Another favourite of mine was Oscar de la Renta, but I've chosen not to include his collection in this post as I've already featured a bit of it in the "Gowns for the Oscars" post I did recently.

Today, I'm making my first outfit post. I don't know if this is a one time thing or if I'll make occasional outfit posts in the future, but I have to admit I'm quite nervous.
I was recently contacted by eShakti, an online apparel store which makes beautiful and classic-looking clothes. Here's the catch: a wide variety of customizations can be made on their pieces, from measurements to sleeves to necklines to hemlines. They offered me a sample so I chose a red dress with embroidered birds, and I had the neckline adjusted from a deep V-neck to a regular V-neck. They were very friendly and I was incredibly pleased with the result!
It's award season in the film and television world, and it won't be long before the most anticipated award show of them all is set to take place. The Academy Awards (a.k.a. the Oscars) is scheduled for February 24th and I'm not only excited to find out who wins what, but also to see the red carpet fashion! Here are some recent collections whose dresses I think have great red carpet potential.
Zac Posen F/W 13.14
Valentino S/S 13
Oscar de la Renta S/S 13
Oscar de la Renta F/W 13.14
Elie Saab S/S 13 haute couture
P.S. I hear that John Galliano was involved in the Oscar de la Renta F/W 13.14 collection? Dare I hope that a comeback is not far away?
I browsing Tumblr some time ago and I came across this photo of Liv Tyler in a lovely black dress.
The little black dress is a closet staple for every girl. It can be chic, it can be simple, but it can also come in many different forms. Here are some runway looks that I love, featuring the little black dress.
Christian Dior Haute Couture F/W 08.09
Chanel Haute Couture S/S 13
Chanel Pre-Fall 2010
Elie Saab F/W 12.13
Lanvin F/W 11.12
Valentino F/W 12.13

I realized that it's been quite a while since my last "lusting after" post! Luckily, I've found a few outfits and items on the web that I think are very nice. Here are some of the things that I would love to own.
